Well said, the video comment is funny, only because of its "almost truth" I was watching a K. West interview not long ago and I remember he was talking about how he was starting a track and before he even got to the chorus he was actually writing down ideas for the video. It’s grown out of hand. Video didn’t kill pop music though, MTV and Clear Channel did (but that’s a different blog maybe?)

Thanks again for the reply.
Aaron

Peace - it's great that we have an alternative to what the mainstream has little to offer us. i hope that we support this effort by letting others know that Amin's out there with the alternative.

Peace.

I agree w/ your sentiments. As the doors open up wider for true artists to distribute their music through the internet, "pop" icons seem to become more and more caricatures of themselves. The only thing they have "over" true artists is an ulimited amount of marketing dollars, and they seem to have embraced this as their new craft.... THE ART OVEREXPOSURE.....How can I light myself up like a human Christmas tree? And oh yeah, we're gonna need a song to go with this new video... we'll do that tomorrow. In the Music Business, music has become an afterthought... just a soundtrack to a pre-packaged image.

To all...

The pop music of present in my opinion is trash.
Nonsense of strippers (stripper love) and platinum, cubic zirconium grills plague our day to day life. IMHO, silly banter of uneducated youth and over paid suits is what drives music today - not Knowledge, Wisdom, and Understanding, not even art or melody, simply trash for the most part.
To be honest –
It seems like a breath of fresh air to see a label like TVP opening doors for true musicians and I look forward to hearing more from artists like Mr. Shabazz.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but music is of the Soul and its true intention can not be hidden.
Careful what you learn and practice what you preach, listen, and knowledge will come – peace.

“We are the Music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams”
Thank you,
Bliss
